Rohill Body Builders have become the first people in England to build a horse box on a 7.5 tonne chassis legally capable of carrying four large thoroughbreds. The RaceMaster Four is expected to fast become the first choice for horseboxes. Built on a Mitsubishi Canter Chassis, supplied by Volvo Truck dealer MC Truck & Bus, the RaceMaster Four has been designed to carry four large thoroughbreds (or six ponies) equipment and their handlers. The custom built design has incorporated the latest legal requirements on payload, headroom and partitioning. Considering that the vehicle can be driven on a standard car licence, it opens big opportunities for all horse owners. The RaceMaster's impressive features include a 2.4 tonne payload, two way fresh-air system, internal cab access, groom compartment for up to four people, exterior locker space, fully adjustable partitioning, easy and light loading ramps and onboard washdown facilities. The Mitsubishi Canter provides a stable and well balanced chassis and is ideal for the first time driver. The RaceMaster Four comes with all the Mitsubishi Canter refinements, making driving a pleasure. Powered by a 3.9 litre l3Ohp 4 cylinder engine the Canter copes amicably when fully loaded and more importantly gives the horses a safe and comfortable journey.
